Oh, thanks Dominic. Now I'm going to be hurting my brain all day.
Do you guys have the same letters for the numbers on your phones? Hmmm. I used to work a lot of crosswords, but I'm not really a freak about them these days. Well, I'll think about it, but I'm mostly commenting so I can hear what other people say.
I just know I'm going to kick myself
Oh, quite brilliant! And many of them to you too!
Got it! But not the tyranny clue.I love Peter Goulding sometimes.
Tyranny, I get. Pondering the crossword ~ still!
Too clever for your own good, you, Dominic!
Here is my head. See it hang in shame.
I'm too thick to be in on this poem, lol.. but I'm sure it's absolutely feckin brilliant!
Thanks for these comments everyone. For anyone flummoxed by the crossword clue, the first line is an anagram of "Many Happy Returns".If it's any consolation, I am completely useless at cryptic crosswords.
Thank God I came late to this site and got the answer explained! Otherwise I would have driven myself absolutely nuts and my self-esteem would have been crushed.
Hey Dominic . . I got the answer without understanding the clue . . !
too smart.keep us thinking....check out short story slam and make a submission today.
Will This Work In Italian?
tony: Non so. Dovrete chiedere un fan italiano cruciverba.
Bluebell Books: Thanks for that. I'll check out your blog. Probably don't have time for writing short stories regularly though.
Dr FTSE: Yes. (4,5,7) is a good clue in itself.Bagman and Butler: Good. I'd hate to feel responsible for crushing that. It would be um... tyrannical of me, perhaps.
Hi Dominic, I've been swimming. It was in a lake and it was on Friday. Did I beat you to it?
No. I went in the Swale a couple of weeks ago. A bit on the chilly side, so only stayed in a few minutes. (My companion said it had been colder in March though).
Swimming in the "chilly" Swale, you'r a brrrr...aver man than me :) and your companion's a polar bear, right?
