A fitting poem to put on your blog on National Poetry Day. Not absolutely sure I understand it. Is he trying to get into the poem?
Or have I misunderstood it? You know me - if it isn't simple stuff I don't always get it. Put it down to age (or being too conventional)! Much, much better than some of the stuff I have read on the web today (there's a lot of it about.)

I enjoyed this poem. I liked the change of pace and attitude.
I'm linking to your blog and also to the Orwell diaries you've highlighted.

I don't want to appear impertinent but do you think you could lose that walking man, or at least tone him a down a bit? I find him very distracting.
Maybe Mr Bleaney and others enjoy him. I don't know.

OK... Consider it done... Especially since (a)yours is the second complaint (someone else told me he gave them the creeps) and (b) he's beginning to annoy me too! :)
